Privacy Statements are for Lawyers & Business Owners, not Consumers

Have you ever read the Privacy Statement or Legal Agreements for almost EVERY website these days? The following is a letter I recently wrote to an advertising medium appealing to businesses to take a look at their opportunities. (I changed the name to keep from exposing the recipient).
Dear Management, newly appointed CEO, or other pontificated title:
You wrote a nice letter to the public about your stats and advertising opportunities. I, however, always encourage all of my clients to not agree to advertise or respond in any way to such offers until they have read the Legal Terms and Conditions. I’m quite sure you’ve NOT read them yourself. Why do I say that? Because its 8,024 words on 16 printed pages, that would take an average reader OVER an hour to do so, (https://wordstotime.com/).
I can only assume you had some panty-waisted attorney who charged by the word for writing this. No one will ever read it! and, if that’s what (your company) is counting on then shame on you! In simple words it actually says… “No matter what happens, we’re not to blame, and you’re screwed!”
I may, or may not, love your product or service, but I will not send any of my clients or referrals your way until the ownership, management, and consumer care departments, rights this abusive consumer wrong!
It’s. Just. Horrible!
