PowerPoint and Deck Presentations

A PowerPoint deck is often the first impression a client, employer, or audience has of your thinking, long before you say a word. Good deck design combines a clear visual hierarchy, restrained use of text, and a story that builds from slide to slide, rather than a wall of bullet points read aloud. After decades of building and critiquing presentations in the classroom and the boardroom, I’ve learned that a well-built deck can make a good idea look great, and a poorly built one can bury it.
